Farewell 2011

It’s December 31 once again. A new year is waiting at the threshold to be welcomed. It’s time to bid farewell to 2011… I’ve always found the passing of time rather surreal. In just the blink of an eye, all the pain, passion, sorrow and joy that had been so excruciatingly intense when I was going through them have somehow been dissolved and absorbed into the fabric of my life. Silent Night

On that very first Christmas so many years ago, there were no noisy parties, no festivities, and no crowded celebrations. There was a very tired husband taking care of his patient and very pregnant wife who had, in spite of her advanced pregnancy, travelled the long distance from Nazareth to Bethlehem with him.
