I have a watch (somewhere in my drawer in Singapore) that has inscribed in its face some words about friendship:
Two is better than one
If one falls, the other can help her up
Something happened to me & HJ yesterday which made me think of this little saying, only for the incident I have in mind, it would be more apt to say:
Two is better than one
If one falls, she wouldn’t have to fall alone
How is that ‘better’ you ask? Well, I don’t know…it was the first time I experienced a tandem fall. Am still rather amused about it. If I remember correctly, we even hit the ground in almost the exact same position. Very dangerous thing…freezing rain and icy pavements…:P
