Every now and then, some little thing occurs that makes me ‘deflate’ at how clueless (euphemism for dumb) I can be. I’ve been using itunes for months now…and I only just discovered that I could mass-edit the ID tags. I wish I didn’t have to remember all the time I had spent on updating the ID tags of my mp3 collection. Back then I actually did it one by one, thanking my stars for the ‘memory’ function of itunes which allowed me to just type in the first few letters of say, an album name, and having the rest automatically filled out. I’d postponed updating ID tags of new mp3s recently cos it was so time-consuming. Then this week, HJ sent me another couple hundred megabytes’ or so worth of music. As I was staring at the ‘mess’ (to me, improperly labelled mp3s are messy), I suddenly thought ‘there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to mass edit ID tags what’. And then I found out that I could. WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF IT SOONER?!?! Argh. This reminded me of a time last semester when I was at Gerstein. I plugged in my laptop and there was no power. I checked the power outlet and my computer…both were connected. I frowned in frustration, thinking I had to switch tables. Then, HM reached across the desk and connected the power cable to the adapter. Just. Like. That. No words. HJ and HX burst out laughing. And I…*sigh*. Duh.
