Ping-Pong Anyone?

Went to Bras Basah Complex yesterday with two of my ping-pong bats and got the rubber changed. It’s mind-boggling the array of things they have now as compared to 10 years ago… high tension rubber, high spin etc etc. Chose a high-tension rubber for my forehand (greater control for spins w/o compromising on speed, supposedly) and a harder rubber for my backhand (better for ‘pushing’). I also changed the rubber for one other competition-grade bat so that I can lend a good bat to people to play with me (after Zibin claimed that the only reason I can beat him is because I gave him a lousy bat to play with). Now if I beat him, it’s fair and square! Can’t wait to try out my ‘new’ bat… Anybody interested in some ping-pong? Give me a call! (Xuan, I’m waiting for you to come back!)

In other ‘news’, mom’s back from L.A.! Went to pick her and Auntie Yen up from the airport at 5a.m. today. Now there’s going to be somebody else jet-lagged and waking up at 5a.m. with me. :P
