Digestives & Milo

Image hosted by Photobucket.comToday’s blog entry is once again dedicated to my dearest brother who I suspect developed a tension headache and mild migraine today cos he can’t bear the thought of me going back to Toronto so soon :P Ok, I’m kidding. Poor John really is home on MC for a day though, the first MC he’s taken since he started NS last December. A migraine is no joke, but I’m glad that I’ll be able to be with him for another day and around to give him some sisterly TLC before I go back to Toronto.
In the last 2 days, I have had digestive biscuits with milo three times for snack/supper at John’s request. That was our staple late night snack when we were staying together in Toronto. It was a comforting ritual… one hot mug of milo in front each of us and a tupperware of digestive biscuits open on the table. John in his leather study chair which he spins around to face the ‘dining’ table and me on our squeaky foldable chair. And over digestives and milo brother and sister would either read Archies comics in tandem or chat… about soccer, about friends, about home, about life, or relationships… Such a wealth of warm memories are associated with this almost nightly ritual that I totally understand why John insists we must have digestives and milo before I leave Singapore. Take care, dearest John! I’ll be back again in December in time to attend your commissioning parade. Will miss you terribly… but there’s always SKYPE! So don’t forget to keep your corny jokes coming my way!
