Watched Wallace & Gromit last night… it was excellent entertainment! A few quick post-movie observations:
1. British wit trumps American humour, particularly when much of the wry wit is conveyed without words
2. Gromit is probably the most compelling mute character I have seen so far. He’s smart, he’s funny, he’s wry and he’s cute. He knits, he can-cans, he builds and even drives! In other words, he’s the complete dog. How could I not love him?
3. Cheese is good (so what else is new?!)
4. Mighty burps can come from innocuous-looking little creatures (eh, Peanut?)
5. Never trust a suitor who is a Gaston-wannabe and wears a toupee

6. Stating the obvious can be duh-hilarious (Wallace, upon observing the severe rabbit infestation at Lady Tottington’s,”My word! They’re breeding…well, like rabbits!”)*sharp intake of breath* ha. ha. ha.
7. ‘Dog-Fight’ actually means two dogs engaging in roof-top warfare whilst driving carnival bumper-warplanes
8. Love conquers all – even when one is turned into a giant hopping, vege-chomping bunny at night.
9. Hair needs to be taken care of when you have giant, carrot-like up-dos. When pierced by a pitchfork, one must put band-aids where the hair was er…pierced.
10. One should stay to watch the end credits. Absolutely!
