I. Hunt For The Green T-Shirt
Well I didn’t find a true-green t-shirt exactly, but a true-green sweater instead. Wanting knows about my ongoing hunt for a truegreen t-shirt to replace my almost 12-yr old favourite t-shirt and she told me she’d seen a Gap sweater of that shade on sale. So I went, I tried, and I bought – for only $19.90 too (original price was $44.90). Like it :)
II. Hunt For The Winter Boot
After a year of on-and-off searching, I finally found a pair of winter boots I liked enough to buy as a replacement for my 6 yr-old leather boots. I’m real fussy when it comes to winter boots as I just want one pair to last me a long time. Happened upon a pair of Hush Puppies boots on sale yesterday and got them for $99.99 (original price $150). It’s got form, style and comfort. It was fate that brought us together…(ha ha)
III. First Swim of 2006
Wanting invited me to go swimming today, and so I had my first swim of the year at Hart House. The pool was at quite a pleasant temperature, and I had a very invigorating swim. A good start to the new year I hope!
The snow-covered campus was quiet and beautiful (probably the last time it will be this quiet before it becomes abuzz with students tomorrow). The snow on front-campus was soft and white, and I almost provoked a fight in the snow with Wanting. But after kicking snow onto my jacket and jeans in retaliation to my throwing two hands-ful of snow unto her chest, Wanting decided to be nice. Heh…ah well, if not for the fact that I knew she had a meeting later on, I wouldn’t have just stopped. *wink*
IV. Family
Found out today that Zibin’s brother-in-law has agreed to being relocated to NYC for two years (he works at GIC). So, sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year, Zibin’s sister and brother-in-law will be arriving in N. America too! Now Zibin hopes all the more to get admission into MIT, then we’d all be close to one another. And, when I visit Manhattan next time, I don’t have to pay for accommodation! Muah ha ha ha ha…
Happy developments indeed! Family, friends, shopping and exercise… it’s a very good list.
Now the list would be more complete if there was a memorable meal in there somewhere. :)
