To Myself

Dearest Self,

You are constantly badgered by the past and anxious about the future. Faith is not faith unless it trusts, and trust can be practiced by learning to live in the Here and Now.

Every episode has a purpose, and know that even in the darkest hours, God is with you and loving you. In His purpose, nothing is dark without a potential for light. Even as you are beginning to plumb the depths of your soul for hunger and disease, remember that He already knows the extent of your brokenness. And not only does He still love you, He still believes you can do great good for Him.

Do not be afraid of yourself, for in God, there is no evil that cannot be overcome.
