Don't be too quick to correct yourself!
We come to God with what we have, with what we know. We start where we are and our merciful God meets us there and brings us towards freedom.
How much of a lived reality is God's presence and tenderness to you?
We often seek God to heal our wounds. But do we realise that our wounds also affect our ability to receive His love for us?
My clients often tell me, "Patience is not my strong suit." Guess what? Neither is it mine! I am probably temperamentally one of the least patient persons I know!
Often in the past when I speak to individuals who are deeply unhappy and frustrated with where they are (e.g. with work), they would justify remaining where they are because they "still feel called" by God to be there.
