Those Laundry Days

This photo was taken in September 2001 at the laundry room of 222 Elm St. Why did we bring a camera to the laundry room? I don’t remember…must have been one of those crazy days. I wanted to put another pic (with John looking positively psycho abt doing laundry) up as well, but I’m afraid he’d boycott me when I return in Dec. :P

It’s interesting, now that I think of it, how there are quite a lot of memories associated with doing laundry back in 222 Elm St. days… Yinwei & I would at times bring our textbooks/notes down to the laundry room to wait for a machine or to wait for our clothes to be done. And for some reason, whenever John and I did laundry together, it was always a barrel of laughs from the time he picks up his laundry basket in his room till when we’re done with the task. Silly games…like guessing which of the 3 lifts would actually be the one to arrive for us… me laughing at the way he walks with the laundry basket (at times he would deliberately sashay for my benefit)…and when we see Yinwei’s laundry basket in the laundry room, John would overturn her laundry basket (empty of course) for the heck of it…so she’d know we knew she was doing laundry as well. All that lint must have made us crazy…

Those Laundry days we used to know
Where have they gone, where did they go?
Eh bien, raise your berets
To those Laundry days

Aside: That’s my favourite green t-shirt I was wearing in the photo…before it came to be in the sorry state it is in now.
