It took me a long time to realise that my capacity for self-transcendence is dependent on my ability to receive and relish God's love (and my love) for myself.
How often do we think of the impact of our actions in terms of spiritual fruitfulness? Do we even know what spiritual fruitfulness is or isn’t?
We are created for love. We are created for love that is true, merciful, and just. Anything less than that harms us.
What is distinctive about leadership for a lay Catholic, whether we are exercising leadership in our families, at work, or in church communities and ministries?
The journey into union with God can be a befuddling and heart-rending one.
When we first experience a conversion of heart and become attracted to a life of virtue and a closer relationship with God, much of what we desire is in our imagination.
