Bridge Quirks

It’s not like I conducted a scientific experiment about this, but I’ve certainly got anecdotal evidence to support this conclusion: I play better bridge when I’m rested and fed. Yesterday afternoon was pleasantly spent napping and then eating pizza while being quizzed on bridge hands by Daryl. For the first time in 3 weeks I wasn’t hungry throughout the 3 hours we played bridge at Hart House! And maybe, just maybe, that was the reason why I played better than I have in the previous two weeks :P Managed to reach the targeted score Shawn (my bridge partner who returned to Singapore) set me: 52.22%! Unfortunately, I was once again one position shy of getting masterpoints. Cross my fingers and hope next week play even better, then maybe got chance…
